    I've been using the 3rd edition for my game and i do like it a little more. but the changes in the 4th edition are not bad either.

    That said dwarfs getting 10 toughness instead of 9 I think helps them be more balanced against to orcs.

    EDIT: also fighter ability update in 4th is very nice.

    I see. I just dowloaded both of them will go through them today and try to compare them and see what changes are good and what should be changed back or maybe changed yet again. Sadly I dont have many friends that are interested in this game but I will force them to beta test.

    Btw do we know under what License this game is made if there is any?

    Jeez, i never found out, there have been a few un-official mods before, and since its a free game I think its safe to assume creative commons.

    So I guess we could call it an Open-Source Game and I guess we are allowed to do what ever we want with it as long as we include the original authors name and where to find the original game or something? Would be good to know so we don't get beaten with sticks cause we impose on some copyright laws or anything.

    Well i have not heard of some one getting beaten with sticks over a MDA copyright problem Laughing

    i find the world of copyright confusing sometimes to be honest, im sure we would get a warning if we did something wrong instead of beaten with sticks.

    As far as I know we can assume it's open source as long as we do credit Jim Bowen, there is a kickstarter game (popup dungeons) that copied the idea of Mini dungeon adventures, where jim bowen talked with the makers and all I know is that he is now credited in their credits.

    I'll send a mail to jim, telling him about us and welcome him to join our discusion so we can have a written of him.

    Well I found the First Edition rulebook on my HDD, I knew I kept it for memory sake since I have been with MDA since the very first thread.

    I just found this on an old USB stick, it's the very first rulebook, it predates 1st edition, and it was the base for everything after it.

    The nifty thing about this, is that the character sheet was actually a little box thingy who could hold dices to keep track. I had one made and it was fun, but a bit cumbersome.

    Original Edition Rulebook

    Well, I am so glad I found it back, this is even more a gem than my 1st edition book.

    I also have this one, it says Test version 0.3 which is I think the second edition, since third edition has the test version 0.35 text on it. But they are only minor changes between them.

    Second edition probably

    So In order I now have:
    Original Edition.
    First edition
    Test version 0.3 (2nd edition)
    Test version 0.35 (3rd edition)
    Test version 0.4 (4th edition)
